Christmas c/o Amazon

While not dressed in red, the whole Amazon business model -- as my favourite way of saving the day, does have its advantages. I am nice and warm, yet shopping for friends and family the other side of the world

BUT

Does the meaning get lost? I mean, I have not wrapped anything. I give the present by a click. I fear for the loss of the personal touch at these times.

Of course, the flip side is receiving a box in the post out of the blue. Maybe we should have random present giving day... instead of house-cleaner's day.

Christmas Cards
Arggg where to start... well apart from about a month ago.
Do you send a card to everybody - or just those you are not going to see - or those who sent you a card last year

Is it a commerical pressure to send more and more cards? We already have secretary's day, soon we'll have house cleaner's day


Talk about frustrating ... where did I put that list of addresses.

Today the latest add-on to my TiVo arrived :) The Airnet card - WiFi access to my TiVo!
Now to work out how to boost the range of the 802.11b access point I have at the other end of the building. I guess it is a good excuse to get a new wireless infrastructure.
